With over 60 years of experience in steel fabrication across the Caribbean, we were thrilled to collaborate with the award winning, Secret Bay Resort, Dominica on their newest addition. This project exemplifies our commitment to sustainable development and resilient infrastructure, aligning with several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Climate Action and Life on Land.
At the heart of this innovative design is a robust steel framework, providing the structural integrity needed to withstand the region’s challenging climate. Our team utilized the latest in steel fabrication technology to create a skeleton that’s both lightweight and incredibly strong. This approach not only reduces the overall environmental impact of the construction but also ensures long-term durability in the face of potential hurricanes and tropical storms.
Complementing the steel structure is a striking facade made from locally sourced greenheart wood. Known for its exceptional durability and natural resistance to decay, greenheart is an ideal choice for tropical climates. By incorporating this beautiful hardwood, we’ve created a structure that seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings while showcasing the rich resources of the Caribbean.
